About The Team
When
Jim and Kris met they never would have imagined they would one day
be running multiple large land databases, and in the process of
a very large vacation rental database campaign.
Oddly enough, it took two 11 year old children to get Jim and Kris
together, so we give them credit when things are going well and
we blame them when things are not going well. (ha)
Jim and Kris' children go to the same school and
incidentally was best friends in school, but it took little league
baseball for the parents to ever meet.
Jim was a coach on the baseball team, and Kris was a close-to-the-dugout-fence-leaning
parent.
It only took a few games before Jim and Kris became great friends.
As
it turned out, Jim was a very well established multi-million dollar
business owner and had land for sale in Maggie Valley and Waynesville,
NC.
Kris was a very well established real estate website designer in
the area, and had alot of knowledge of the real estate business
and the area as well. Kris was born and raised in Maggie Valley,
NC, and aside from 9 months spent in Georgia some 15 years ago,
has lived in the area his entire life.
Having grown up in Maggie Valley since the late 60's, Kris has been
able to see how the area has grown and changed. It also has allowed
him to know the area as well as anyone possibly could. Kris' great-grandparents
once owned hundreds of acres in the lower end of Maggie Valley.
In fact, one great-grandfather owned what is now the Maggie Valley
Country Club. The stories of those days have shaped his love for
the area.
Kris
got to grow up on a very large plot in Maggie Valley just across
the road from the Maggie Valley Country Club. His grandmother owned
around 100 acres on that side of the road, and around 100 acres
surrounding the Maggie Valley Country Club, so he had the chance
to hunt, camp, fish, climb, walk, and dream in the great town of
Maggie Valley for many years. He lost his grandmother in the late
80's, and to this day that is the most profound event to ever happen
in his life. He misses her daily. The love he had for his grandmother
would shape the very person Kris is today. (i love you mom-mom)
Kris had a very large family, and a very close family. His uncle
was the local mailman, and eventually started Haywood Hardware in
Dellwood.. Another uncle was the local dairy-farmer, a business
that was passed down from his grandfather.
All
this allowed Kris the extraordinary chance to walk many acres of
land all the way from Maggie Valley to Crabtree. His father was
a hunter, and Kris went on many of those local hunting trips. His
uncle owned multiple plots of land used in the dairy business, and
Kris worked all of those acres every year growing up.
We give you all this
background information on Kris to explain the amount of knowledge
he has about the lay of the land in Haywood County.
If that wasn't enough, Kris has been a very successful real estate
website designer in the area for better than 10 years now. Many
of the real estate websites in the area was designed by Kris, and
he hosts most of those websites to this day.
Having been in the real estate business for 10 years has allowed
him to see the need for a land only website, and it is finally here!
If Kris is the brain
behind this land only database concept, Jim is the heart of the
business. Jim brings so much business experience to this project
that it would take 10 pages to explain it all, but even more impressive
is the amount of energy he brings to this business. It only takes
about 10 minutes with Jim to see why he has been successful in every
business venture he has ever taken on.
Jim grew up watching his father, Jack, make friends with every person
he ever met. Jack instilled a perfect balance of great family values
and business sense into his family. His father, an account executive
for the county, obviously passed his business skills along to Jim
as well. Jim was very close to his father, and still is very close
to his mother today. The family bond shows in his everyday life.
Jim lost his father just a few years ago, but Jim certainly did
not lose the passion for life that his father passed onto him. Jim
takes care of his mother - as Jack would have wanted him to do,
and Jim wishes to pass on his fathers values to everyone he meets.
(i love you dad)
If you question why you should place your
land into this database, just call Jim. He can tell you every reason
why it only makes sense to have your land in the largest land database
in WNC. But here is what he brings to this business that helped
make the business succeed: Jim IS a land owner in Maggie
Valley and Waynesville, NC. He has experienced firsthand the ups-and-downs
of trying to sell land in a market that is perceived to be down.
He has lived the hardship of trying to market land in a region that
doesn't really market land as much as it does residential real estate..until
now! With that firsthand knowledge, being the great business mind
he is, he knew this area needed a land only website that would actually
come up in search engines when you do a search for "maggie
valley land" or "waynesville land". He knew what
the area needed, but like many others, he had no idea how to achieve
it. The reality is that not many people know how to market in the
search engines, but Kris had been studying peoples search habits
and the ever-changing, ever-complicated algorithms of the top search
engines for more than 10 years, so the two businessmen made a perfect
fit to bring this great website to you.
Jim also brings to you something that simply can't be duplicated.
His wife Paulette! Paulette is a great business-mind as well. In-fact,
Jim would most likely give all his success credit to his wife. She
pays attention to every little detail, and she simply will not allow
Jim or Kris to be anything other than successful. So we give MUCH
credit to her for this project being a success.
It
takes more than just placing a few pages online to get a good website
up and running, and Jim & Kris wasn't about to place a "good"
website online. They knew they were going to bring you a "great"
website or not do the project at all. We hope you find their efforts
a success!
